The 1st phase of the study includes the collection, analysis and evaluation of economic and social data and data regarding to the constructed urban area and the urban functions of the area. The study also included statements of the preliminary findings of the various problems and trends as well as the available opportunities for urban interventions. The proposals of the study, addressed in the second phase, are associated with urban regulations and redevelopment actions that aim to reclaim the central location benefits of the area, and preserve the authenticity associated with the extant urban characteristics and facades. Additionally, a revision of land uses took place, so that the framework of future development would be sufficient.
